The Štambuk family gathered on the 10th of August 2019 in its place of origin in Selca, in its ‘stone nest’, as it has been called by the poet and ambassador Doctor Drago Štambuk. As scheduled, the annual general meeting of the Štambuk association was held in the morning. It reported on its work of the past year. There was a gathering of the Štambuk family in May 2019 in Zagreb. There the 2019 meeting in Selca was organized, as were the presentations of Dario Štambuk’s book on the history and genealogy of the family, which accompanied the first ever Štambuk family gathering in Hvar. At the Selca gathering in the evening, after mass, which retired Bishop Slobodan Štambuk held in the Church of our Lady of Carmel, there was a social event in the Zorin courtyard. It was attended by over 130 Štambuk descendants and friends from all over the world.
