The​​ Yugoslav Partisans were a communist guerrilla army under​​ Tito. Typically referred to, in Croatian, as​​ Narodnooslobodilačka vojska​​ (NOV), the ‘National Liberation Army’, with the full title, from 1942, of:​​ Narodnooslobodilačka vojska i partizanski odredi Jugoslavije​​ (NOV i POJ). In​​ English: the ‘National Liberation Army and Partisan Detachments of Yugoslavia’. On the​​ 1 March 1945, this organization was renamed the​​ JNA.
